The gay parenting recognized for the school forms Under the terms of an amendment adopted Tuesday evening

“Relative 1” and “relative 2”, rather than “father” and “mother”. The National Assembly adopted Tuesday, in first reading, an amendment which devotes the gay parenting in the school forms which will not make any more mention like the parents.

This vote intervenes within the framework of the government bill “on the school of confidence”.

“This amendment aims at anchoring in the legislation the family diversity of the children in the administrative forms subjected to the school”, appointed it Valérie Petit (LREM) explained, at the origin of the text. Elected North recalled that many forms of registry office, registration to the canteen or school authorization of exit are marked always “father” and “mother”, without taking account of the vote of the law for the marriage for all and of the existence of homo parentals familys.

“There are families which find themselves vis-a-vis boxes solidified in social models and family a little exceeded.

Today, nobody should feel excluded by a little late diagrams of thought. For us, this article is a measurement of social equality”, in the hemicycle his/her colleague Jennifer de Temmerman (LREM) defended.

“Doctrinaire approach” against “respect and dignity” the Minister for Education, Jean-Michel blanquer , and the rapporteur of the government bill, Anne-Christine Lang (LREM), gave an unfavorable opinion to this amendment, estimating that the claimed change did not concern the legislative field.

The deputy LR Xavier Breton denounced a depending amendment “of a doctrinaire approach and politically correct which does not correspond to reality”.

“When I intend to say that it is an exceeded model, I point out that today, in the celebrated unions, marriages or Pacs, more than 95% are couples man-woman”, he underlined.

On the other hand, for his/her socialist colleague Joaquim Pueyot , this reform “is a question of respect and dignity”.

“You do not imagine the consequences when children do not feel not treated like the others”, he launched.
